A Pattern for a Confederate Flag

My son inlaw is a big red neck and he wants a afagan that looks like a confederate flag. Is there a pattern out there that anyone knows of. He is not a bigest or anything like that he just likes being a redneck .

Living in the south I know a lot of people who like to post the Confederate Flag... If he likes that flag, then you should make him one...

I'm making a Miami Dolphins pillow from the graph I got from KnitPro, just save an image of the flag, then insert it in the button and voila! I'm doing mine all SC. A SC for each stitch that is shown... Good luck!

Actually, it goes really fast... I have been surprised at how fast this is going...

Oh, if you decide to do it, PM me... I wasn't able to get KnitPro do to a large enough size for my liking so I put the pic I wanted into my Plastic Canvas software and was able to make it as big as I wanted... With an afghan, you'll definately need it larger... Anyway, if you choose to, I can send you a file with the pattern on it...

It's funny that I ran across this thread, I have just finished a confederate flag for my brother. I'm going to post the photo, but mind you I do not want to offend anyone. I am also going to post the link for the pattern too, it was pretty easy and only working on it after work and weekends it only took me about 3 weeks to complete.

I cannot say this any better than was said here:

Quote:
...there (is) nothing out-of-line by requesting (this) pattern, or answering with a follow up to the request. Sure, the subject matter may be a point of sensitivity for some of our members, but so are penis patterns. We deal with it; if it's not something one is personally comfortable with, then one can easily choose not to read or become involved in the thread.

What I feel was out of line is how the thread was intentionally steered into a controversial, unneccessary political debate. We all know that the confederate flag has negative racial connotations - there was no need for anyone to point that out again, or to create an atmosphere where you should feel bad for requesting a pattern.
Enough said. The posts in question have been removed and the thread closed because we don't want to have to do it again.
