Enjoy!! http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...iepigfront.jpg http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...tiepigside.jpg Snout and body of pig are joined at the end of each round with a slip stitch. With F hook Starting at pigs snout, Chain 2 1) 5 sc in 2nd chain from hook. 2) ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around (10 sc) 3) ch 1, (2 sc in first sc, sc in next sc) repeat around (15sc) 4) IN BACK LOOPS ONLY.. Sc in each sc around 5-6) ch 1, sc in each sc around. (this is the last row of the snout.. Next is the body) 7) ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around (30 sc) It is easiest to embroider snout at this point 8-14) ch 1, sc in each sc around 15) ch 1, (sc dec, sc in next 3 sc) repeat around (24 sc) 16) ch 1, (sc dec, sc in next 2 sc) repeat around (18 sc) Stuff 17) ch 1, (sc dec, sc in next sc) repeat around (12 sc) Stuff a bit more 18) ch 1, sc dec around (6 sc) DO NOT FINISH OFF, but instead chain 8. Slp stitch in 2nd chain from hook, and remaining chains, and first stitch of body. FO leaving long tail. Use long tail to close hole around pigs tail. With G hook Ears (make 2) Ears are done in rows Leaving long beginning tail, Chain 7 1) Sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in remaining chains (6 sc) 2) ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across 3) Ch 1, turn, sc dec, sc in next 2 sc, sc dec. (4 sc) 4) Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across 5) Ch 1, turn, sc dec across (2 sc) 6) Ch 1, turn, sc dec. (1 sc) FO leaving long enough tail to weave back into ear. Use the end just finished off to weave back through last stitch made. This will help define the tip of the ear. Weave in lose end then. Using long beginning tail, sew ears onto pig, folding in a bit on each side to resemble a pigs ear. Repeat with other ear. Pigs Feet (make 4) Feet are done in a continous round. You do not join at the end of each round. Chain 2 1) 6 sc in 2nd chain from hook 2-4) sc in each sc around Fasten off Do not close foot hole, sew onto bottom of pig. Weave in any loose ends you have. Sew or embroider eyes onto pig. You are done! Last edited by KristieMN; June 2, 2006 at 09:51 AM. |

THATS GREAT!!! My sister collects pigs, so I'll make this for her. Have you made a non-cute elephant? My husband would love an elephant that looks like it's charging! (Hint, hint???)
