Little Duck/Chicken pattern

I took these little guys picture next to a spool of thread so you can see how little they are!
While working on making a 'chicken' I found it to look like a duck. It continued to look like a duck until I added the red thread on top.
After finishing the chicken, I quickly made up a duck.
I hope you enjoy this pattern!

Wow, you are on a roll. These are adorable, right along with everything else you've made. I love how cute and little these projects are, they will work up fast.

Kristie, you are so talented! And you're coming up with these new patterns so quickly too! Boom! Boom! Boom! (Or in this case, quack, cluck, quack!) I am just in awe.

I love the eyes on your animals. I notice that you are using black seed beads for them. What size seed beads are they? When you sew them in place what color thread do you use? The color of the body of the animal or black thread to match the eye? And how do you secure your thread once you've finished sewing the beads on? Do you make a knot--where do you put the knot?

I know those must seem like dumb questions to you, but you do such a beautiful job I just have to ask you how you do it!

Once again, a great job, Kristie, and thanks so much for sharing the patterns with us. You are a blessing!

No such thing as a dumb question!!

I used cheapy Walmart beads.
They are MainStay Glass E Beads
I used black thread to sew them on.
I make a knot (make a loop and run the needle through 2 time and pull tight) I usually hide the knot behind the eyes. I squish the head a bit to make the knot, then when I let the head out, the eyes get pulled into the head tighter, and the knot disapears.
You can always tie the knot where you are going to sew on a wing, foot, beak, or hair.
If anyone has an easier way... let me know!

And thank you for the compliments! I am glad people enjoy them!
