White & Gold Thread

I picked up one roll of white and gold "holiday" thread for a dime at a Jo-Ann's a while ago... now I've got an itch to do another thread project. Anyone done something really cool in sparkly thread?

I've always wanted to do a shell type top with motifs to wear for the holidays under a suit jacket with the holiday thread.
Doilys of course. Snowflakes. I can think of lots of things to use it for

I would make some crocheted package "ribbon" with stars or flowers on each end...such a nice finish to a gift!

I have made a million of the these beautiful little candy cane covers for the top of Christmas gifts. They are soooo lacy, and totally Victorian! I love anything Victorian...can't you tell?

I made a little drawstring handbag out of sparkly thread for my daughter to use for a special occasion. I used the leftovers to make snowflakes.

How about Christmas ornaments? You can see a bell I crocheted in my blog.

Thanks for all the ideas! I think I'm going to have to buy MORE sparkly thread to try them out.

Roli's idea for package ribbon set my wheels turning... I thought, that'd be beautiful, but I'll have to explain to the person getting the package that the ribbon is special... but then what would they do with it?... maybe put it on the Christmas tree?...

So I designed a garland of little stars to wind around the Christmas tree. It might still decorate a present, but so far I like it too much to give away... can't wait to see how it looks on a tree!

Wendy, somehow I missed this final post. I'd love to see a picture.
