Lily Doll


Materials: Small amount of worsted weight yarn in skin, dress and hair color. I used Bernat cotton
Embroidery floss for mouth
Small buttons or safety eyes approximately 9mm
Tapestry needle
F or 3.75 hook

Note; Doll is made by working in the round use a stitch marker for the beginning of each round


Body With skin color ch 2

Rnd 1 6sc in 2nd ch form hook
Rnd 2 2sc in each st (12sc)
Rnd 3 *sc in next, 2sc in next st* rep around (18sc)
Rnd 4 *sc in each of next 2sts, 2 sc in next st* rep around (24sc)
Rnd 5 *sc in each of next 3sts, 2 sc in next st* rep around (30sc)
Rnd 6 *sc in each of next 4sts, 2 sc in next st* rep around (36sc)
Rnd 7 *sc in each of next 5sts, 2 sc in next st* rep around (42sc)
Rnd 8-13 sc in each st around
Rnd 14 *dec 1, sc in each of next 5st* rep around (36sc)
Rnd 15 *dec 1, sc in each of next 4st* rep around (30sc)
*if attaching safety eyes do so now*
Stuff head firmly and continue stuffing as you work
Rnd 16 *dec 1, sc in each of next 3st* rep around (24sc)
Rnd 17 *dec 1, sc in each of next 2st* rep around (18sc)
Rnd 18 *dec 1, sc in each of next two st.* (4x) dc 1 (13sc) Join dress colour in last st
Rnd 19 sc in each st around
Rnd 20 *sc in each of next 2st, 2 sc in next st* sc in last sc ( 19sc)
Rnd 21 *sc in each of next 2st, 2 sc in next st* 2 sc in 2nd last st, sc in last st
(24sc)
Rnd 22 *sc in each of next 4st, 2 sc in next st* (28sc)

Rnd 23-30 sc in each st around
Rnd 31 working in back loops sc in each st around
Rnd 32-33 sc in each st around
Rnd 34 *dec 1, sc in next 2 st* sc in last st (22sc)
Rnd 35 *dec 1 sc in next 2 st* (16sc)

Fasten off leaving tail long enough for sewing


Leg Make 2

With dress colour ch 2

Rnd 1 4 sc in 2nd ch from hook
Rnd 2 *2sc in each st around*
Rnd 3 *sc in next st, 2 sc in next st* rep around (12sc)
Rnd 4-5 sc in each st
Stuff and form into foot shape
Rnd 6 *sc in next 4sc,dec 1 st* rep around (10sc)
Rnd 7 *sc in next 4sc dec1 st* rep around switching to body color in last st (9sc)
Rnd 8-18 sc in each st
Stuff leg
Rnd 19 *sc in each of next 3st, dec 1, sc in next 4 sc (8sc)
Rnd 20 (sc in next st, dec1) 2 times, sc in last 2 st (6sc)

Fasten off leaving tail for sewing

Arm Make 2

With body color ch 2

Rnd 1 4 sc in 2nd chain from hook
Rnd 2 2 sc in each st (8sc)
Rnd 3 sc en each st
Rnd 4 sc in each st switch to dress color in last st
Stuff arm as you work
Rnd 5-12 sc in each st around
Rnd 13 *dec 1 st, sc in each of next 2sc (4sc)


Skirt

Attach dress color with sl st to front loop of first st of Rnd 31 of body

Rnd 1 ch1 sc in each st around (ch1 counts as sc) (28sc)
Rnd 2 sc in ch 1 space and each st around (28sc)
Rnd 3 *sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in next st* sc in last 3 st (33sc)
Rnd 4-10 sc in each st around
Fasten off

Attach arms and legs to body and weave in all loose ends
For hair cut 10 inch strips of yarn. Lay pieces evenly over the head and sew to the
Middle of the head.
The sewing seam will create the part. See picture

Attach eyes to row 11of head and sew on mouth with embroidery floss

*Buttons are a choking hazard for young children*
