Looking for a floppy baby hat

I'd like a pattern for a floppy sun hat for a baby (6-12 mo). The easier & quicker the better, I'd like to have this in time for a bday coming up soon. Thanks

You know, I created a floppy hat for my little one last September - I didnt write down what I was doing when I made it.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...jfloppyhat.bmp

We were taking a few days in Sea World and Lego Land and her poor little head was bare so instead of buying a hat for her, I crocheted her one. She was about 7-8 months old at the time. What I did was I measured it over her head as I worked. I started with the crochet in the round, increasing it when I needed to and doing sc all around when it didnt need to get bigger around her head...then at the forehead point I just started increasing a lot every other round or so and did sc in the other rounds to make the floppy brim all the way around the hat.

I still have the hat, I could get it and write down what I can see of it if you're interested. I also added a tie on it to put under her chin to keep it on her head. I dont know if this helps any? Maybe someone can whip you up a link with a floppy hat lol. BTW, this hat STILL fits her at 18 months old lol, but she doesnt like things on her head.

floppy baby hat

Here is a pattern I have used a couple of times.
www.anglecrafts.net/members/floppyhat.html
You will have to sign up to be a member to get to the pattern I think...but that is not a bad thing. She has lots of free nice patterns.

These are the 2 floppy hats I made.

Cat pitcher

Sorry you did not like the model I used for the floppy hat. Just the best model I could find...no babies in the house.

Re: floppy baby hat

Strange, bizzare, weird perhaps, but obscene? Not at all. )

I find the cat pitcher to be unique.
