My First Pattern :)

My aunt loves sock monkeys, and since her birthday is coming up, I thought this would be a great present. However, in order to get a sock monkey pattern, I had to pay for it. Instead, I just made my own! Bare in mind that I’m still in my first month of crocheting, and this is my FIRST pattern. *Crochet at your own risk* And since this is my first pattern, there might be some errors in this pattern. If you find any mistakes please let me know so I can fix them. J Happy Crocheting! J

Sew ends together with big eye needle. If you want to make the tail curly, skip about ½ an inch or an inch in between every stitch.
Stuff (I used a pencil to shove stuffing down the tail)
Attach to the body.
*Be sure to add the tail, or the monkey won’t be able to sit up on its own. You might have to adjust the tail a bit to make it stand up, but it should work perfectly.

Thanks. It was pretty hard as my first pattern, and I made a few mistakes but I figured it out eventually. Thanks again for the positive comments.

First let me say your "sock monkey" is adorable! It totally resembles a sock critter! Great job!
Second if you want to make a sock critter there's a list of free online tutorials and patterns here:

I love the colors of the yarn you used! And the face and mouth is so perfect!
