Every Happy House Needs ................
Cara from http://www.happyyellowhouse.com/, has graciously been sharing her quilt-ghan designs with us from her web page . She continues to add new ones . They are all works of art and would make a great addition to anyone's home . Just take a visit to her website and click on the Free Crochet patterns. She has so many really pretty Quilt-ghans listed. Some, at this time are just diagrams, but need photos of actual afghans to go with them . I would love to get a group together that would be willing to choose one of her patterns and make it. Cara would like to include a photo section of completed afghans that people make from her designs . Don't get discouraged or think you wouldn't be able to do these. Most are made with simple granny squares, with easy to follow instructions and diagrams . With a handy-dandy joining method, it will also take a lot of time off your assembly . (Method explained on post 18 ) I'm sure all of you reading this either have a place in your home, or a special person in your life that would love to have a quilt-ghan. Just imagine the comments you'd get if you presented one of these for a wedding gift ,baby shower gift ,birthday or even Christmas if you want to plan that far ahead . I already have MY favorite one picked out, how about you ? I'd like to see at least one person do each one of these so we could see what colors and beautiful creations you C'ville Members can come up with . Just sign on the dotted line of you are interested - ................................ Drop in and take a look , you will be hooked ! http://www.happyyellowhouse.com/ **** Fridays will be Photo Friday -- so if you are able, please post an update of your progress on Fridays to share with the group . PICTURES of afghans in progress OR finished ! (Thanks to Rachel for setting this up *** ) http://cpea67.photosite.com/photoblog ******* Please PM me with your pattern and color choice and I will chart out a list in here on post 1 so you will know who all is working on the same afghan as you , in case you need to ask help, advice, etc, or just wanna know who is working on the same one as you . I of course am already hooked. I am interested in the handy dandy joining method though. Is it better then the whipstitching? I will have to consider it for the next one. Which is going to be the Ohio Star Variant. Not sure of colors yet though.

LOL I really would like to do the Windtalker Lapghan. It'll take me a while but I'm gonna get it done ![]() Thanks again to Julie, you're a doll

Oh Cara I would be honored to give you a picture. I'm trying as hard as I can to get this Ohio Star one finished so I can start the variant one. I'm thinking of using burgundy as one of the colors. Maybe I'll do the red, white and blue with dark blues and reds and possibly aran for the white.
I'll have to think about it a bit. lol Maybe the colors will just call to me when I go to the store

Hey Cara...which ones do you need pictures of? A friend wants me to make one for another friends birthday. I am trying to get her to choose one from your site for me to do, if you need a photo from a particular one...I may be able to talk her into that one. I myself would love to do the Clay's Choice or County Fair or Ohio Star, or Blackford's Beauty, or Purple Pinwheels or Diamonds and Wheels...get my drift? LOL Let us know which ones you would like us to do if you can!
