Autumn in Allegheny -15 inch doll
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...ar/autumn2.jpg This is the outfit I started on the bus when bringing Dora home for the first time. I just never got around to writing the pattern parts. Well, I just started with the hat and poncho but they just seem to grow from there. The Hat Ch 4 join with a slip st. (join every row) Row 1: 8 dc into ring Row 2: 2 dc into every dc Row 3: dc around with 2dc into every other st Row 4: hdc around. Row 5: hdc around. Row 6: work 2 hdc then work fpdc into st 2 rows below. Row 7: hdc around. Row 8: work hdc into hdc FPdc around FPdc. Row 9: work hdc around Row 10: Work DC around. Join, ch 1 and turn Row 11: work DC around Row 12: Work hdc around. Break off. Turn up the last 2 rows to form brim. The Poncho… Remember to plan for a closure Row 1: Chain 21 and work 2 sc into every ch. Ch 1 turn Row 2: Work 2hdc, FPdc around ending with 3 hdc. Ch 1 turn Row 3: work hdc around Row 4: Work hdc, hdc increase, FPdc around. Ch 1 and turn. Rows 5-8: work as for rows 3 and 4 increasing by one hdc between FPdc on right side rows. Notes: You should have 5 hdc between FPdc sts. Join after 7th row and work in the round. Rows 9 & 10: work DC around and break off . Sew on buttons even if you used Velcro. Pants… Row 1: 40 sc around elastic base and join. this is Centre back Rows 2- 5: hdc in every hdc. Place marker on 21st hdc – just as a reminder Row 6: 2hdc in 1st hdc, hdc in next 18 hdc, 2hdc in next 2 hdc, hdc in next 18 hdc, 2hdc in last hdc. Row 7: 2hdc in 1st hdc, hdc in next 20 hdc, 2hdc in next 2 hdc, hdc in next 20 hdc, 2hdc in last hdc. Row 8: sc in every hdc around and join to first sc, do not break off. Find the sc that is half way around and slst together to form the crotch. Do not break off. Legs: Row 1: hdc dec, hdc around and join Row 2: hdc around to last two, hdc dec, join. Rows 3 – 7 hdc around, join Row 4: work hdc around but work dec about every 4th st. Row 5: sc around and join. Break off Attach yarn again and complete 2nd leg White Pullover sweater http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...ar/autumn1.jpg – finer weight of WW yarn and smaller hook. Pattern stitch can be worked across front sts if you want to do so. Pattern st – work: (hdc, tr in next) across Don’t forget your closure method. Chain 5 and work a 4-stitch SC ribbing for 30 rows. Row 1: Work (sc, 2 sc) across top of ribbing – 45 sc Row 2: Work (hdc in 2, 2hdc in next) across – 60 hdc. Row 3: Work hdc in 7, hdcV-st in next, hdc in 13, hdcV-st in next, hdc in 16, hdcV-st in next, hdc in 13, hdcV-st in next, hdc in 7. This begins to mark out sleeves. Row 4: sc back Rows 5-8: Continue these rows –hdc in hdc and V-st in V-st across and then SC back. Row 9: hdc across leaving out the sleeve stitches. Row 10: sc back working BPdc in every other stitch. Row 11: hdc across working FPdc into previous post stitches. Break off Sleeves… Attach yarn and work 7 more rows of hdc but finishing the last two by working the FPdc ribbing as for the hem of the sweater. I have the original boots that I made for this outfit but they are so big and loose that I haven’t written the pattern. When I get a good one I like, I will post it. I’m much better at this shoes and boots now ![]() Copyright: Darlene Cutler, 2007 Last edited by darski; March 1, 2007 at 09:53 AM. |

Something just occurred to me... the sweater looks like a pullover but it isn't really (because of that head issue thingy) it just looks like a pullover is all. it's a pseudo pullover... yeah that's the ticket

Beautiful!!! I can't wait to work on this one. The patterns work up nicely!! I'm really going to have to print them all up and put them in a binder too.
