Elephant pattern

Hi everyone!
This is my first pattern here. I hope youŽll like it.
It was supposed to be Dumbo from Walt Disney, but in fact it has become a 2,5 inch small goofy looking elephant.

Here is the pattern (It hasnŽt been tested!)

material: grey yarn, small amount of white yarn, two google eyes
ch = chain
hdc = half double crochet
FO = fasten off
slst = slip stich

body:
ch2
1) 6 hdc in the second ch from hook (6 hdc)
2) 2 hdc in each hdc (12 hdc)
3) 2 hdc in first hdc, 1 in next hdc, repeat around (18 hdc)
4) 1 hdc in each hdc (18 hdc)
5) 2 hdc in first hdc, 1 in the next 2 hdc, repeat around (24 hdc)
6) 1 hdc in each hdc (24 hdc)
7) 2 hdc in first hdc, 1 in the next 3 hdc, repeat around (30 hdc)
8) 2 hdc in first hdc, 1 in the next 4 hdc, repeat around (36 hdc)
9-14) 1 hdc in each hdc (36 hdc)
15) hdc dec, hdc in next 4 hdc, repeat around (30 hdc)
16) hdc dec, hdc in next 3 hdc, repeat around (24 hdc)
STUFF
17) hdc dec, hdc in next 2 hdc, repeat around (18 hdc)
18) hdc dec, hdc in next hdc, repeat around (12 hdc)
19) hdc dec (6 hdc) FO

head:
Chain 2
1) 6 hdc in the second ch from hook (6 hdc)
2) 2 hdc in each hdc (12 hdc)
3) 2 hdc in first hdc, 1 in next hdc, repeat around (18 hdc)
4) 1 hdc in each hdc (18 hdc)
5) 2 hdc in first hdc, 1 in the next 2 hdc, repeat around (24 hdc)
6) 1 hdc in each hdc (24 hdc)
7) 2 hdc in first hdc, 1 in the next 3 hdc, repeat around (30 hdc)
8-10) 1 hdc in each hdc (30 hdc)
11) hdc dec, hdc in next 3 hdc, repeat around (24 hdc)
12) hdc dec, hdc in next 2 hdc, repeat around (18 hdc)
FO leaving long tail to sew head to body, STUFF

arms (make two):
Chain 2
1) 6 hdc in the second ch from hook (6 hdc)
2) 2 hdc in first hdc, 1 hdc in next, repeat around (9 hdc)
3-7) 1 hdc in each hdc (9 hdc)
FO leaving long tail to sew arms to body

legs (make two):
1) 6 hdc in the second ch from hook (6 hdc)
2) 2 hdc in first hdc, 1 hdc in next, repeat around (9 hdc)
3-4) 1 hdc in each hdc (9 hdc)
FO leaving long tail to sew legs to body

snout:
Chain 11
working all around the chains in slip stitches (~22slst)
FO leaving long tail to sew snout to head

ears (make two):
Chain 2
1) 6 hdc in the second ch from hook (6 hdc)
2) 2 hdc in each hdc (12 hdc)
3) 2 hdc in first hdc, 1 in next hdc, repeat around (18 hdc)
4) 2 hdc in first hdc, 1 in the next 2 hdc, repeat around (24 hdc)
5) on one side of the circle you crocheted up to now make a few double crochets untill you think the ears are big enough.
FO leavin a long tail to sew ears to head

tail:
chain 4
sew a few short pieces of yarn into the first chain, FO leaving long tail to sew to backside of the body

embroider toes with white yarn on the arms and legs
sew everything together and glue or sew the google eyes in the elephants face.
Have fun with your own wannabe-dumbo
