"single double double" stitch pattern

Hi all.
A few people asked about the stitch I so creatively call "single double double". Here's the basic set-up: Make a chain in multiples of three plus one.
Row 1: Single crochet in second chain from hook. Then do two double-crochets in the same stitch where you just did the single crochet. Skip two shains. Do sc, dc, dc in the next chain. End with skip two chains and one sc in last chain.
Row 2: Chain 2, turn. 2 dc in last sc from previous row. Then do 1sc, 2 dc in each sc across to the end. End with one sc in the top of the turning chain.
Repeat row 2 as desired.
For the scarves I made I just changed colors at the end of every row.
(You can see them at http://www.kodakgallery.com/PhotoVie...d=697931172205)
This is a great stitch all in one color, too! Works up fast and looks nice. I did a few baby blankets in this stitch.
Later taters,
Raquel

I know this is an old post, but I found it the other day and made a scarf in this pattern. I love it! Makes things look reversible. My scarf was black and gray. Turned out rather nicely. I'm anxious to see if it turns out as nice with some fancier yarns.
