Mantilla pattern
I've been hunting, on and off for years, and it suddenly dawned upon me that this would be a good place to ask! I used to have one at school - I think my mother must have discarded it when I married and moved away. I asked her about it years later, when she had come to live near me, but she couldn't remember it. Well - it WAS over 40 years ago that I left school..... Does anyone know where there is a pattern to be had? Either for sale, or free online? Foray into nostalgia, perhaps, but why not - I want one, and now I have the time to sit with fine threads and make one - just need the pattern! |

Here was an answer to a similar request a while back,
http://www.crochetville.org/forum/sh...ad.php?t=19247 There's a vintage pattern on e-bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll..._promot_widget I would think a lot of the lacy shawl or stole patterns on crochetpatterncentral.com should be adaptable to thread. |

I think that any shawl worked in a bigger size thread, if it s worked in finer thread it ll adopt its size to fit the one you want
you can always do a swatch and compare lengths

Whatever pattern you pick, remember you'll probably have to adjust it for width and length.
Here's a shawl that's lacy and worked in thread already. It might work as is or you could add to it for the length you want: http://www.daintywork.com/peachtree_crochet.htm Here's another: http://www.freevintagecrochet.com/sh...l-pattern.html Another: http://www.freevintagecrochet.com/sh...l-pattern.html You'll find many more here that might work for you: http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com...shawls_etc.php
