Team Colors Cozy
Anyway, I ended up with small amounts of my orange and blue so I decided to whip up a can cozy. This is my first pattern so please forgive me if I screwed up too badly ![]() http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...IMG_0102-4.jpg Materials: - Small amounts of worsted weight yarn in your favorite team’s colors. - “I” Hook or size needed to obtain gauge - Yarn needle to weave in ends Gauge: - 1st 2 rounds = 2 ¾ inches Special Stitches: - Reverse Single Crochet (rev sc): At end of row, ch 1. Working backward, insert the hook into prev st, wrap the yarn over the hook and draw yarn through the stitch so there are 2 loops on the hook. Wrap the yarn over the hook again, and draw through both loops on hook. With MC: Ch 4, join with sl st to form loop. Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 11 dc in ring, join with sl st to top of beg ch 3. (12 dc) Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in same joining st, 2 dc in each remaining dc around, join with sl st to top of beg ch 3. (24 dc) Row 3: Ch 3. Work in back loops only from now on… dc in each dc around, join with sl st to top of beg ch 3. (24 dc) Row 4: Join CC: Ch 1 (counts as first sc), sk first dc, sc in each dc around, join with sl st to beg sc. (24 sc) NOTE: I don’t bother fastening off colors at the end of each round. I just carry the other color through my stitches all the way around. Being such a small project, it really doesn’t waste that much yarn. Row 5: With MC: rep row 3. Row 6: With CC: rep row 4, fasten off CC. Row 7-9: With MC, rep row 3. Row 10: Join CC: Working in both loops, rev sc around; join with sl st to beg. Fasten off both colors. Weave in ends. It looks great! I can't wait to try it. I love the Gator colors, too. Thanks for sharing.

Will definately try this out in some of our Australian team colours - It is only two weekends until we have AFL Finals (Australian Football) and also NRL (National Rugby League) Grand Finals.
I'm sure my boys would love to have one for the day. Dianne |

I didn't read the initial post clear enough...teehee...I thought these were Broncos colors! I'll have to make one for my DH.

I love it!!! so cute and useful too!
You can't keep a good crocheter down... only got 10 feet of yarn; I can make something with that!

Nice job! I might just have to make a few for little gifts at our family Christmas Eve party. Purple and Black(Baltimore Ravens) for most of us and just one Yellow and Black (Pittsburg Steelers).
