Simple Cami pattern

After seeing a segment on Good Morning America last week that showed a cute Newport News top, I went on their website at www.newport-news.com and searched crochet and found tons of cute crocheted top. My favorite is the Crochet Cami, a simple white tank with thin straps. Has anyone seen a pattern similar to this? If I was all fancy and technological, I'd link it here, but I can't so bear with me.

Thanks!

They had some lovely items. I wish I knew where to find patterns like that! And the prices were so reasonable. I wouldn't sell them for that cheap if I were the one crocheting them!

It's awful to think how little the people making them must be paid if they can retail for so little!!

I get really sad every time I see that. Some of these pieces are really timeconsuming no matter how experienced that crocheter is. Selling them for thirty-some dollars at the retail level means that the person producing it gets next to nothing.

Doesn't it break the heart?

I can't imagine how little the women were paid who made those lovely "imported" crocheted clothes. How the government can allow this is a crime.

Well, it says crochet is big news this season...so that is good news. Maybe people will remember us who crochet andmake some more "hip" patterns like these! These are gorgeous. Look at that purple top. And that cardigan? Whoo!

You might try looking at http://www.crochet-knit.com

Click on crochet patterns then on Clothing Hats. They carry some very nice patterns and I did see a Britsh book that had a cami.

UPDATE

So sorry I had typed in the address wrong earlier. I was in a hurry and forgot to check. Hopefully now it will work correctly.
