Fits a standard Ryder Waite pack. Adjustments can be made for another type of deck.

Size F Hook

Cotton Yarn

Ch 8

Round 1) 3 sc in second st from hook, sc in next 5 st, 5 sc in 1st ch, sc in each of next 5 st, 2 sc in last st. Join with a sl st in 1st sc.

Round 2) Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, sc-ch2-sc in next st, sc in next 7 st, sc-ch2-sc in next st, sc in next st, sc-ch2-sc in next st, sc in next 7 sc, sc-ch2-sc in next st, join with a sl st in first sc.

Round 3) Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, sc in next st, sc-ch2-sc in ch2 sp, sc in next 9 st, sc-ch2-sc in ch2 sp, sc in next 3 st, sc-ch2-sc in ch2 sp, sc in next 9 st, sc-ch2-sc in ch2 sp, sc in next st, join with a sl st in beginning sc.

Round 4) WORKED IN BACK LOOP ONLY. Ch 2 (counts as first hdc), hdc in next 2 sc, hdc in ch2 sp, hdc in next 11 sc, hdc in ch2 sp, hdc in next 5 sc, hdc in ch2 sp, hdc in next 11 sc, hdc in ch2 sp, hdc in next 2 sc, join with a sl st in top of beginning ch2.

Round 5 - 18) Ch 2, hdc in next 35 sts, join with a sl st in top of ch 2.

Row 19) Turn. Sl St to next corner, ch1, in FRONT LOOP ONLY, sc in same st, sc in next 12 st, ch1, turn.

Row 20 - 24) sc in same st and each st across. 13 sc. Ch1, turn.

Row 25) Sc in FRONT LOOP ONLY of same st and each st across. 13 sc. Ch1, turn.

Row 26) Sc in 1st st, skip 2, (3 dc-ch1-3 dc) all in next st, skip 2, sc in next st, skip 2 , (3 dc-ch1-3 dc) all in next st, skip 2, sc in last st. Turn.

Row 27) Ch 3, 2 dc in same st, sc in ch 1 sp of shell, (3 dc-ch1-3 dc) all in sc between 1st and 2nd shells of last row, sc in next ch 1 sp, 3 dc in last st, ch1, turn.

Row 28) Sc in first st, skip 2, 3 dc in next st, skip 2, (3 dc-ch1-3 dc) in ch1 space of shell of last row, skip 3, 3 dc in next st, skip 2, sc in ltop of ch 3 of last row. Tie off.
