Materials:

Size E hook
Yarn Needle
Stitch Marker

I used Red Heart Supersaver yarn when making these. Below the yarn requirements are listed by each bag.

Shrunken Head Wrist Bag:
Worsted Weight Yarn in a flesh color, hair color, strap color and black for embroidering.
I used Buff, Black, Cherry Red and then black again for embroidering.

Flaming Skull Wrist Bag:
Worsted Weight Yarn in white, orange, red and black for embroidering.
I used White, Pumpkin, Cherry Red and Black.

Smaller Flaming Skull Wrist Bag:
Worsted Weight Yarn in White, black (for embroidering), and Red Heart Supersaver yarn in Sunshine Print.

Finish Sizes:
Shrunken Head wrist Bag- 4 ½”h x 3 ½”w (4 ½”w counting ears)
Flaming Skull Wrist Bag- 5 ½”h x 3 ½” w (At its widest)
Smaller Flaming Skull Wrist Bag- 4 ½”h x 2”w (At its widest)

Different Stitches:
Spike stitch: Diagram: Here
Popcorn Stitch: 5 dc in next st, take hook out of loop, stick hook into loops of 1st dc, then stick hook in loop from before, pull up loop thru loops of 1st dc and ch1. (Diagram: Here)
Picot: Ch2, sc in 2nd chain from hook.

Notes:

The Shrunken Head is worked in a continuous spiral, do not join unless specified.

When doing my sc decreases, sometimes I do them in the front loops only. It helps minimize the hole sometimes left when decreasing.

Mark the first stitch of the round and move it up as you go along, to keep track.

Sometimes when I’m working in back loops only, I like to go in both back loops.
