Turtle Rattle

As with all my patterns, feel free to sell the completed item!!
Please do not sell the pattern.

Supplies needed:
Small amounts of sports weight yarn. (Carons simply soft also works)
Fiberfill
F hook
Tapestry needle
Stitch marker, or safety pin
1 cat ball for each turtle. (You can find these at most stores in the pet isle. They are plastic, with a bell in the middle. They work great…as long as somebody doesn’t step on them)

Terms used:
Sc = single crochet
Ch = chain
Slp st = slip stitch
BLO = back loops only
Sc-dec = single crochet decrease over 2 stitches
FO = finish off, fasten off

Finished size: 3 inches tall, by 2 ¾ inches wide, by 4 inches long, not including tail.

Turtle is worked in one continuous spiral, unless otherwise noted.

With Green,
Ch 2
1) 6 sc in 2nd hook from chain
Change to orange
2) 2 sc in each ch around (12 sc)

Continuing striped pattern,

No need to continue striping, finish off green
13) In BLO (just for this round) (sc-dec, sc in next 4 sc) repeat around (30 sc)
Now, back to working in a continuous spiral,
14) (sc-dec, sc in next 3 sc) repeat around (24 sc)
Now add stuffing and cat ball inside body. Continue stuffing as you go.
15) (sc-dec, sc in next sc) repeat around (16 sc)
16) sc-dec around. (8 sc)
FO leaving longer tail.
Use tail to close hole, weave in end.
