Materials:
E hook, G hook
Sugar'n Cream Peach Cobbler cotton worsted weight yarn (flesh)
Sugar'n Cream Warm Brown cotton worsted weight yarn (dark brown)
Tapestry needle
2-9mm translucent blue animal eyes
1 inch piece self adhesive magnetic tape

Gauge: 3 rows (g hook)= 1/2"

Face/head:
Using a G hook with Peach Cobbler yarn ch2.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join. (6sc)
Rnd 2: (2 sc in next st) x6. Do not join. (12sc)
Rnd 3: (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) x6 Do not join. (18sc)
Rnd 4: (sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next stitch) x6. Join with sl st in next st. End off. (24sc)
Rnd 5: Using an E hook with Warm Brown yarn join with sc in any st of 4th rnd. 1 sc in each of next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st. (1 sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st) x5. Do not join or end off. (30sc)

Ears:
Row 1: Using E hook with Peach Cobbler yarn join in next st with sc, sc in next st. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: 2 sc in next 2 sts. Ch 1, turn.
Row 3. sc2tog twice. End off.
For 2nd ear, repeat rows 1-3 in 13th st from end of Row 1 of 1st ear.

Face/head continued:
Rnd 6: Using E hook with Warm Brown sc in bottom corner of 1st ear where it connects to row 5. Sc in bottom side of ear. 2 sc in each of top 2 sc of ear. Sc in top side of ear, sc in top corner of ear. Sc in each of next 12 sts. Sc in top corner of 2nd ear, sc in top side of ear. 2 sc in each of top 2 sc of ear. Sc in bottom side of ear, sc in bottom corner of ear. Sl st into next st and end off. Weave in all ends.

Nose:
Leaving 3" tail, ch2. Sc in 2nd ch from hook. End off leaving 3" tail.
To attach- Pull both ends through center of face to back snugly and tie in a knot to secure. Snip ends or weave in to back of face. At this time, also attach/sew on eyes and mouth. For mouth, use brown embroidery floss or 1 ply of Warm Brown yarn.

Back:
Using G hook with Warm Brown Ch 2.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join. (6sc)
Rnd 2: (2 sc in next st) x6. Do not join. (12sc)
Rnd 3: (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) x6 Do not join. (18sc)
Rnd 4: (sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next stitch) x6. Join with sl st in next st. End off. Weave in ends. (24sc)
To attach- Place very small amont of stuffing in back of face. Attach Back with whipstitch using thread or Warm Brown yarn to back of face.

Attatch magnetic tape to back.

Thanks again for posting this pattern...I made one for my sister, who LOVES monkeys...for her, I put a 30-chain hanging loop on the top so it would function as a luggage tag (slip the loop through a zipper/part of a handle/ whathaveyou, tuck monkey through loop, pull to tighten.) Sorry, no picture, forgot to take one before I gave it to her. I printed the pattern earlier in August (via different thread?) anyway, it's a great pattern!

What a cutie. My son collects monkeys, so I am gonna make some up and put them around his school picture frame. I think that will look cute. Ha
