Tilly & Tommy Turtle

Here's the pattern for the little turtles from the Noah's Ark set. They were the first version I tried.

Materials Needed:
Worsted weight yarn * Embroidery Floss * E hook & B hook * fiberfill

AGAIN, DON'T LIMIT YOURSELF TO THE YARN OR HOOK SIZES!

Body :
With e Hook and Body color;
Ch 6; sl st in beginning chain to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3 [counts as dc], work 11 dc in ring. Join with sl st in top of beg ch. (12 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 3 [counts as dc], 2 dc in same st, dc in next dc, *3 dc in next st, dc in next st* around. Join with sl st in top of beg ch. (24)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st and in each st around. Join with sl st in top of beg ch. (24)
Rnd 4: Ch 3 [counts as dc], 2 dc in same st, dc in each of next 3 st, *3 dc in next st, dc in each of the next 3 st * around. Join with sl st in top of beg ch. (36)
Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in same st and in each st around. Join with sl st in back loop of top of beg ch. (36)
Rnd 6: Ch 1, *dec, sc in each of next 4 st in BLO* around. (30)
Rnd 7: Working in spiral; *dec, sc in each of next 3 st* around. (24)
Rnd 8: *dec, sc in each of next 2 st* around. (18)
Rnd 9: *dec, sc in next st* around. (12) STUFF
Rnd 10: *dec* around. (6) FO LEAVING LONG TAIL FOR SEWING ON LEGS.

Head:
With E Hook and face color;
Rnd 1: ch 2; 6 sc in second chain from hook. (6)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12)
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st* around. (18)
Rnd 4-5: sc in each st around. (18)
Rnd 6: sc in each of the next 6 sts, 2 sc & 1 hdc in next st, 1 hdc & 2 sc in next st, dec, 2 sc & 1 hdc in next st, 1 hdc & 2 sc in next st, sc in last 6 sts. (25)
Rnd 7: sc in the first 8 sts, dec, sc in next 2 sts, skip next st, sc in next 2 sts, dec, sc in each of the last 8 sts. (22)
Rnd 8: *dec * around. (11) EMBROIDER FACE. STUFF
Rnd 9: *dec* around, sc in last st. (6) FO LEAVING LONG TAIL TO SEW HEAD TO BODY.

Legs: (make 4)

With B Hook and face color;
Rnd 1: Ch 2; 6 sc in second chain from hook (6)
Rnd 2: BLO 2 sc in each sc around (12)
Rnd 3: *dec, sc in next st* around (8) FO, STUFF & SEW LEGS TO BODY.

Tail :
With B Hook and face color;
Sl st to body. Ch 4; sc in second chain from hook, sc to end. FO (3)

Trim :
With E Hook and body color;
Sl st to front loop of body rnd 6; ch 1, sc in same chain and in each loop around. Sl st into first st. FO.
