Skill Level: Advanced Beginner. Knowing the basic stitches is helpful.





Description:

Making a sweater from neck-to-hem is no longer a knitter’s trick. Crocheters can create beautiful raglan-style sweaters and cardigans from the neck down, quickly, easily and without a pattern!


Class is broken up into 3 weeks:

Week 1: Measurements, Gauge and Yoke
Week 2: Sweater Body
Week 3: Ribbing and Sleeves

Supplies Needed:

• Yarn Desired for sweater.
• Appropriate hooks for yarn selected
• Yarn needle
• Scissors
• Stitch gauge

Wow! I'd be very interested in taking this class...I've made topdown sweaters before, but wasn't 100% thrilled with the results. It would be nice to have some direction.

I used to do what we called 'raglans' when I was younger, but to do it without a pattern would be pure delight for me. They seem to work up so much faster and without all those seams. I am definitely going to get in on this one.

I'm looking forward to this, too! I have the book and have attempted to do one of the sweaters, but I screwed up royally. It's just vile-looking. I'm hoping if I take the class I can get more direction on where I went wrong.
