Baby Doll Bassinet

This is for a larger doll, I think about 14 inches, but don't remember for sure. it's been a
while since I made it. I am not sure I like the skirt a lot, but that's what I've got for now!

BABY DOLL BASSINET

Size: For about a 14 inch doll.

Materials: Worsted weight yarn, 25 oz white; K & G crochet hooks;
yarn needle.

Gauge: 4 sc to 1-1/2 inch.

Note: Bassinet is worked holding 2 strands together and size K
hook. Top trim is worked with single strand and G hook.

Starting at center bottom with 2 strands white and K hook, ch27.

Rnd 1: 2 Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 24 chs, 4 sc in last
ch; working on other side of ch, sc in next 24 chs, 2 sc in last
ch, join with sl st to first sc: 56, ch1.

Note: Join each rnd and ch1 unless otherwise stated.

Rnd 2: 2 Sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 24 sc, 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc
in next 24 sc, 2 sc in last 2 sc: 64.

Rnd 3: 2 Sc in first 2 sc, sc in next 28 sc, 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc
in next 28 sc, 2 sc in last 2 sc: 72.

Rnd 4: Sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in 32 sc, 2 sc in next
sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 32 sc, 2 sc in
next sc, sc in last sc: 76.

Rnd 5: Sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 34 sc, 2 sc in
next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 34 sc, 2 sc
in next sc, sc in last sc: 80.

Rnd 6: Sc in first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 34 sc, 2 sc in
next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 34 sc, 2 sc
in next sc, sc in last 2 sc: 84.

Rnd 7: Sc in first 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 34 sc, 2 sc in
next sc, sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 34 sc, 2 sc
in next sc, sc in last 3 sc: 88.

Rnd 8: Sc in first 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 34 sc, 2 sc in
next sc, sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 34 sc, 2 sc
in next sc, sc in last 4 sc: 92.

Rnd 9: Sc in first 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 36 sc, 2 sc in
next sc, sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 36 sc, 2 sc
in next sc, sc in last 4 sc: 96.

Rnd 10: Sc in first 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 40 sc, 2 sc
in next sc, sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 40 sc, 2
sc in next sc, sc in last 3 sc: 100.

Rnd 11: Sc in first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 44 sc, 2 sc
in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 44 sc, 2
sc in next sc, sc in last 2 sc: 104.

Sides:

Rnd 12: Working in back lps only, sc in each sc around, join, ch3.

Rnds 13-18: Dc in each st around, join in top of ch3, ch3.

Rnd 19: Dc in next 10 sts, (mark last st made for end of hood), dc
in each st around to last 9 dc, (mark last dc for start of hood),
dc in last 9 dc, join; ch3, turn. (there are 21 sts marked for
working hood later.)

Skirt:

Rnd 20: Working in back lps only, dc in each st around, join, ch3.

Rnd 21: Dc in each st around, working in both lps.

Rnd 22: 2 Dc in each st around, join, ch3.

Rnds 23 & 24: Rep Rnds 21 and 22.

Rnd 25: Dc in each st around, join. Fasten off.

Hood:

Row 1: With 2 strands of white and K hook, join with sl st in last
marked st on Rnd 19 of sides, ch1, sc in joining and in next 20
sts; ch1, turn.

Rows 2 & 3: Sc in first st, hdc in next 2 sts, dc in next 15 sts,
hdc in next 2 sts, sc in last st; ch1, turn.

Row 4: Sc in first st, hdc next 2 hdc together, (dc next 2 sts
together) 3 times, dc next 3 sts together, (dc next 2 sts together)
3 times, hdc next 2 hdc together, sc in last st; ch1, turn.

Row 5: Sc in first st, hdc next 2 sts together, dc next 2 sts
together, dc in next st, dc next 2 sts together, hdc next 2 sts
together, sc in last st. Fasten off.

Top Trim: With 1 strand of white and G hook, join with sl st in
first st after hood on top edge of bassinet, ch3, (sl st in next
st, ch3) around top of bassinet and around hood opening, join with
sl st in first sl st. Fasten off.

Thanx Brenda for the Pattern. I've never heard of a bassinet for a 14" doll. I def. copied it. Thanx for sharing the pattern.

Ok. Maybe someone will make this and post a picture for us all. I would like to make it but I have so many WIP right now. I am not sure when I would get to it. If I do, I can put up the picture for you. Thank you for sharing your pattern.
